Take an iterative approach to process mining

When spinning up a process mining capability, you should take an iterative approach.

James Henderson, Justin Morgan – the Mindzie team – and I recently had a great chat about how to reduce time-to-value when getting started with process mining.

The key is to start small, then expand: taking an agile approach.

Select an E2E process, break it down, then start your analysis with a higher value sub-process with a single source system that has high quality, clean data. When that’s completed, then add additional systems and iterate towards the full E2E.

This is a realistic, manageable, step-by-step approach to process mining.
